Putting on Christ

Dress rehearsals help us better prepare for a public event. The rehearsals make us aware of potential issues and pitfalls in the upcoming presentation. Practice does make perfect.
When it comes to the Christian faith, we too need to practice our faith. The goal is to become more and more reflective of the presence of Jesus in our life.
When we put on Christ, His grace covers us, and His presence empowers us to live effectively for Jesus.
Join with us this coming Sunday as we discover the full effect of putting on Christ and what it means for us as we study Galatians 3:23-29. Hope you can join us.
We meet at 9:30 am. at 740 N. 129th Street along the West Dodge corridor in Omaha, Nebraska. If you are uncomfortable in attending in person, check out our Facebook page, SpiritOfFaithOmaha, or our YouTube channel. Come grow with us as we seek to share the joy of knowing Jesus Christ.

Justified by Faith

Have you ever tried to justify your actions? Have you provided an excuse of some type for why you did what you did? Did it placate those to whom you were responding?
When we feel the need to justify what we have done, it often means that what we did bothers us a bit, and we are looking for someone to approve of us, so we feel better.
Human justice is flawed. Bias can enter and misdirect our actions, but when God justifies someone, He does it out of His perfection.
Join us this coming Sunday as we discuss what it means to be “justified by faith” as we look to Galatians 2:15-21. Hope you can join us and grow with us.

No Other Gospel

Grace means that we get the opposite of what we deserve. A popular acronym for grace is God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense.
It is by grace that we are saved through the medium of faith (Ephesians 2:8), but grace covers our sins and shortcomings.
The Good News of the Gospel is that grace is available. It is the best news one can ever hear.
Join us this coming Sunday as look at Galatians 1:6-12, discovering our central grace is to salvation and forgiveness of sin.
