Christmas Through the Eyes of Mary

In Luke 1 we find Elizabeth at a central place within the leadup to the birth of Jesus. Elizabeth was unable to bear children and was “advanced in years.” Yet, an angel of the Lord announced the good news, that she would have a child.
That child was a relative of Jesus. His name would be John, more formally known as John the Baptist. He was a forerunner of Christ, setting the stage for the Messiah’s ministry.
Join us as we discover what Elizabeth experienced that we too can experience when we trust in God to be at work.
We meet for worship at 9:30 m. at 740 N. 129th Street along the West Dodge corridor in Omaha, Nebraska. If you are uncomfortable attending in person, check out our Facebook page, SpiritOfFaithOmaha, or our YouTube channel. Come grow with us as we seek to share the joy of knowing Jesus Christ.

“Born in Sin . . . Reborn in Life”

The choices made in the Garden of Eden continue to impact us to this day.
One act of defiance marred the original inhabitants of this world and all those who followed.
What was the full impact of that sinful defiance? Why do we still struggle with it to this day? And then, how is it that we can be reborn in life?
Join us for worship this coming Sunday as we look to Romans 5:12-21, discovering how God provided for His children so that they could be reborn in faith, leading to eternal life.

“The Gift of Reconciliation”

Reconciliation is described as changing a relationship between two or more persons for the better. For reconciliation to occur, sacrifice is central.
The sacrifice means that it comes at a cost. Personal pride must be side aside, replaced with humility. Forgiveness is extended and grace is received.
When Jesus gave His life for humankind, it brought reconciliation between His followers and God Himself. That reconciliation is accessed through faith in Jesus, God’s Son
Join us for worship this coming Sunday as we look to Romans 5:9-11, gaining more insight into what Jesus has provided for you!

“A Demonstration of Love”

How do you show love to another person? The Bible provides a definition for love in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 and a demonstration of what love looks like in Romans 5:6-8.
The hallmark of love is the unconditional aspect of that love. It is a willingness to die to self for the sake of another. It is marked by sacrifice of one’s time, talents, and treasures toward the one whom we love.
The best example is that of Jesus Himself who gave His life that we might have life. His act grew out of love.
Join us for worship this coming Sunday as we look to Romans 5:6-8, discovering how much Jesus loves you!

“Rejoicing in Hope”

We all need to have a sense of hope in our lives. When we do not, hopelessness invades and it can consume us, robbing us of any joy and leaving us feeling empty and zapped of energy.
Do you feel overwhelmed by the storms of life? Are you beaten down, struggling through life?
In Romans 5:1-5, we discover that hope is available. It is found as we trust in Jesus to rescue us and to restore us.
Join us for worship this coming Sunday as we share that hope.

Generational Implications of our Faith

Faith in Jesus is a conduit for God’s blessings and provision. Not only is the one who believes blessed, but that blessing has an impact upon others.
Scripture tells us that God’s love extends to 1,000 generations of those who love and obey him. It all begins with “faith.”
While we are not saved by faith, faith gives a believer access to the saving grace of Jesus. Through faith comes the gift of eternal life.
This Sunday, we will look into Romans 4:16-25 as we discover the implications of our faith on the generations to come.
