“Bear One Another’s Burderns”

As followers of Jesus, we are called to help fellow believers who struggle under a burden that they cannot support by themselves.
We are called to come alongside and help.
In that process, we are not to look down on the other person nor are we to feel like we have it all together. Instead, we are to be reminded that we all have burdens to bear.
Join us for worship this coming Sunday as we look at Galatian 6:2-5, gaining insight on relationships with others. Join us and grow with us.
We meet for worship at 9:30 m. at 740 N. 129th Street along the West Dodge corridor in Omaha, Nebraska. If you are uncomfortable attending in person, check out our Facebook page, SpiritOfFaithOmaha, or our YouTube channel. Come grow with us as we seek to share the joy of knowing Jesus Christ.

“Forgive One Another”

When we fail to forgive others, we pay a personal price for that failure. We can struggle emotionally and physically along with the spiritual implications of that failure.
When we forgive someone, we release our anger and our desire for revenge, giving it all over to God to handle. Forgiveness does not mean that what the person did was okay, nor is it condoned.
When we forgive, there are no strings attached. It’s not, “I’ll forgive you if” or “I’ll forgive you when.” When we forgive, we ourselves are set free from the pains of the past. We forgive unconditionally.
Join us for worship this coming Sunday as we look at Colossians 3:13, gaining insight on the importance and need to forgive others. Join us and grow with us.

“Encourage One Another”

Life is filled with seemingly “impossible” moments. Tragedy strikes, and we have no idea what to do next. We struggle knowing how to respond. It can cause us to even question our faith.
It can take weeks, months, and even years to begin to address pains from our past. Sometimes, those challenges haunt us as long as we live.
We all need encouragement. We need reminders of the many promises God has for His people. And just as we need encouragement, so do others.
Join us for worship this coming Sunday as we look at two key Scripture passages on encouragement, discovering the importance of building up one another which enables us to be a blessing to one another. Join us as we discover the role and importance of encouraging one another.

“Serve One Another”

A central teaching in the Bible is to “serve one another.” While that command directly relates to serving fellow believers, God also calls upon His followers to serve all humankind with whom we come into contact. These are our neighbors.
When we serve others, God promises a blessing for when we do it out of obedience to His command or when we do it out of love, choosing to serve versus feeling forced to serve.
Join us for worship this coming Sunday as we look at Galatians 5:13-14 along with some parallel texts of Scripture as we discover the blessing of serving others.

Submit to One Another

As we launch into a new year, we have the opportunity to reset our course, devoting ourselves to becoming an even better person in the New Year.
One area needing to be improved is our relationship with fellow believers. Scripture provides approximately 60 commands that guide us in those relationships.
Over the next weeks, we will dive into some of those commands as we seek to honor Jesus in all that we do and say. Our first look will be at the need to submit to one another.

Overcoming Envy

Are you envious of others? Do you feel that if you had just a bit more, then you would be content?
Too often, we live our lives for some future hope that may or not materialize before we say that we will be content. Why not choose contentment now instead?
Why wait? As we look to a New Year and contemplate what we would like to see improved, may we make it a goal to move envy aside and instead to work on being content.
Join us for worship this coming Sunday as we look at various Scriptures to discover how to overcome envy, finding contentment with our lot in life.
